I never thought about that before, but that definitely is true. If all landlords added solar panels then the environment would be much better off!

I have a 25meter x 20meter area I wish to cover with solar panels. How much will it cost me, and how many kilowatts will this produce?

definitely having my landlord take a look at this. i had two options this year, move into a place where heat is included or pay the crazy $500 a month heat bill. 2nd one is out and besides with oil prices it will now probably be 600. yikes. – glad i might have this third option.

This is indeed a difficult problem to solve. It is going to take the will of the people pressuring their elected officials to change the laws and make placing solar power everywhere easier. Solar power is such a simple solution to such a large national energy problem only we as a society could make it this difficult. Keep doing what you do educating and breaking down barriers to wide spread solar power. I will continue to do the same and help children wherever possible.
